Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

A remarkable lady who led an incredible life. The Aaztec team are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of the Queen and our condolences are with the Royal Family at this incredibly hard time.

We have been reminicsing and sharing our personal stories of our experiences with HRH. A few among us remember her trip to Leeds in 1977 as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations. However, the most amazing recollection of the day came from our very own John Taylorson (‘JT’), who told us about the day he received his MBE at Buckingham Palace in the year 2000. He even brought in his medal in that the Queen presented to him – what a story and what a day to remember!  

We join the rest of the world in mourning the loss of our longest-serving British monarch and as a mark of respect, our office will be closed on Monday 19th September for the state funeral so our team can pay their respects. May she rest in peace.
