Founded by Quakers in 1785 and based in the heart of the city, The Mount School York is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3 to 18. The school are leaders in educating, inspiring and empowering confident young women, enabling them to believe nothing is beyond their reach.
The boarding house is located on the first and second floors of the main school building, which was built in the 1870s and is grade 2 listed. It has six shared bathrooms, most of which were last refurbished around 2005. It is important to the school to keep the standard of bathrooms high and to meet the changing demands of the boarding students.
