Fountains Abbey (National Trust)

Aaztec’s ATLANTIC range at Fountains Abbey National Trust Site, North Yorkshire

The National Trust’s Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal site in North Yorkshire is one-of-a-kind. Not only does it boast one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England, but also a unique and awe-inspiring water garden. The magnificant 800-acre site has been recognised as a World Heritage Site since 1986.

The National Trust are renowned for the up-keep and preservation of their immaculate visitor attraction sites and facilities and so when it came to the refurbishment of the visitor’s centre washrooms, this project was no exception.

Located only 10 miles from site, Aaztec were selected to renovate the main washrooms to a standard that reflected the esteemed quality of the National Trust and was synonomous with the essence of the magnificent site.

The Estates Project Team chose Aaztec’s ATLANTIC SGL range of cubicles with sleek stainless-steel ironmongery, in a stylish and contemporary light and dark woodgrain colour combination. Solid surface washtroughs and state-of-the-art Dyson taps were also chosen to not only save space, water and energy, but add a luxurious feel.

Justin Scully, General Manager at Fountains Abbey, commented:

“Our new washrooms look absolutely fantastic! The products are of the highest quality. A huge thank you to Aaztec for a great project – visitor feedback has been excellent!”
